We are Smart.pr. Since our founding in 2008 we have grown from the underdog position to a prominent market leader. What started with three students with a wild idea grew into a successful software company operating in multiple countries. We deliver a scalable product to a broad portfolio of over 500 customers. We do this with a close-knit team and work in an ambitious, vibrant culture. We have a laserfocus to realize our goals, and always plenty of new ideas on the shelf. We are extremely proud of where we are today, but are even more excited of what is to come.
Our founders Tim, Stef and Martijn always dreamt of starting their own company. This was back in 2008, during the crisis, when a start-up was simply called a ‘small company’. They started with an online party calendar but quickly switched to a PR tool. Armed with a healthy dose of conviction and bluff they gathered valuable feedback from the market and released the first version of Smart.pr. After a couple of years Mark joined in as CEO after which a new phase of growth started.
We develop a Saas product for PR and communication professionals. When we do our job well, their work day is improved. To achieve this we provide a CRM for PR, the best journalist database and an advanced press release distribution system.
Because we believe a strong and independent press benefits from the distribution of relevant news. This way, PR-professionals and journalists work and help each other in a respectful and mutually beneficial manner. Software can contribute to this in a particularly effective way.
In our beloved office in the middle of Amsterdam: a multi-tenant building on the Rokin. Our neighbors are companies like Lynk&co and Ticketswap. We have three big office spaces with enough room for both deep focus and relaxation. On a sunny day we take the elevator to our rooftop terrace and have the best views of the city.
Next to strengthening our position in the Netherlands we are expanding to Belgium and Denmark. We took the first steps and are excited for the road ahead.. It’s a challenging puzzle: in order to become the international market leader every piece has to fall into place.
